How long does it take to arrange domiciliary care?
We can arrange for domiciliary care to start quickly after an initial call, in some cases this can be within the same day.
Can you help with a transition from hospital care?
Yes, we can arrange transition from hospital care to home care and we can provide full time live in care if 24/7 care is required.
What happens if the carer is ill or goes on holiday?
We have home care teams who are experienced in transitioning from family caregiver to agency care and from carer to carer. Jothno Care and Support will provide cover for the carer if they are ill or go on holiday and we will ensure a smooth transition.
Are the domiciliary carers qualified?
All the carers on our care teams have been through in-house training with Jothno Care and Support and prior to placing them we assess their suitability for home care. Jothno Care and Support’s service was rated Good by the CQC.
Can we have a south Asian carer?
We match home carers with families who are compatible. We will look at the needs (e.g. aging, dementia, physical disability, learning disability), personality, and cultural requirements of the person who needs care. We will also take into account any requests for a particular nationality of carer.
How long can domiciliary care be provided?
Domiciliary care can be provided for as long as it is needed. We can provide a few hours of care a week to 24/7 full time care. We have worked with some clients over many years, so domiciliary care can continue for as long as you need it.
Can you arrange respite care?
Yes, short term respite care for a family caregiver who is providing care can be arranged.
