What does community care and access mean?
We provide reliable Community Care and Access to help service users to access activities in the local area. This can include group outings, attending social gatherings or recreational activities and clubs, and providing transportation to events.
Who do we help?
We support older adults and individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, learning disabilities, challenging behaviours, autism, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and vulnerable adults.

How soon can community care & access start?
We can arrange community care & access very quickly – usually with a few days after a call to assess the requirements.
How long does community care & access last?
As long as you need it. We have worked with families for years to provide care and support. If you have an older relative who needs to be accompanied on regular outings, we can arrange that and provide transport too.
Are the carers qualified?
All the carers on our care teams have been through in-house training with Jothno Care and Support and prior to placing them we assess their suitability. Jothno Care and Support’s service was rated Good by the CQC.
Can we have a south Asian carer?
We match carers with families who are compatible. We will look at the needs (e.g. aging, dementia, physical disability, learning disability), personality, and cultural requirements of the person who needs care. We will also take into account any requests for a particular nationality of carer.
Can you arrange respite care?
Yes, short term respite care for a family caregiver who is providing care can be arranged.
