Romford Stories
Making A Choice
Our client wanted to live independently from his parents, but complex disabilities meant that they were nervous about allowing this to happen. Using supported living services meant that he was able to show them that he could make his own choices and live a full life on his own. His parents still felt like they were part of the care team.
Reducing Isolation
Mental health issues caused isolation and made this service user feel like an outsider in the local community. The supported living team was able to bridge the gap and communicate with local residents they met when they accompanied him to local facilities and events. Soon local residents became familiar and friendly with him.
We work closely with Newham London and accept referrals from Romford GPs, and Queen’s Hospital.
