Tailored home care
Jothno Care & Support tailors home care packages to the individual family. We provide home care from our head office in Newham and work in surrounding London boroughs and across the UK when required.
We are mindful of cultural differences and recognise the range of diversity in east London. For example, we will make sure that the home care team knows of specific family traditions and activities like Diwali, attending Gurdwara, etc.

Personal care assistance
We will assist everyday personal tasks like laundry, dressing, bathing, using the toilet, etc.

Meal preparation
We can help to prepare meals, and assist with eating. All meals are tailored to dietary preferences.

Mobility support
We can help a user to move around inside their home or outdoors in their garden when it is difficult to move.

Community access
We encourage interaction with the community and can arrange day trips & regular activities like shopping.

Medication management
Medication will be safely managed and monitored so that it is taken when it is needed.

Promoting independence
We are experts in transitioning independent adults into home care and will recognise personal preferences.

How long does it take to arrange home care?
We can arrange home care to start quickly after an initial call, in some cases this can be within the same day.
Can you help with a transition from hospital care?
Yes, we can arrange transition from hospital care to home care and we can provide full time live in care if 24/7 care is required.
What happens if the carer is ill or goes on holiday?
We have home care teams who are experienced in transitioning from family caregiver to agency care and from carer to carer. Jothno Care & Support will provide cover for the carer if they are ill or go on holiday and we will ensure a smooth transition.
Are the home carers qualified?
All the carers on our home care teams have been through in-house training with Jothno Care & Support and prior to placing them we assess their suitability for home care.
Can we have a south Asian carer?
We match home carers with families who are compatible. We will look at the needs (e.g. aging, dementia, physical disability, learning disability), personality, and cultural requirements of the person who needs care. We will also take into account any requests for a particular nationality of carer.
How long can home care be provided?
Home care can be provided for a few hours a week to full time care. We have worked with some clients over many years, so home care can continue for as long as you need it.
Can you arrange respite care?
Yes, short term respite care for a family caregiver who is providing home care can be arranged.
